What is an Elective Surgery? Elective surgeries are procedures arranged in advance so that all equipment can be prepared and the necessary personnel scheduled. Who Performs the Surgery? All standard surgical procedures are performed by one of our veterinarians or for more advanced surgical procedures, by a visiting a Board Certified surgeon. Who Performs the Anesthesia? Anesthesia is also performed and monitored by one of our veterinarians. What Surgeries can be Performed at Avon Animal Hospital?
