This lovely mare is in foal to Voltaire for 2009.

   Sire:  ORLANDO: BWP - bay - born: 1996 - 1.70 m.

Orlando is the perfect stallion with the best bloodlines of Europe. His sire Heartbreaker is presently one of the best sports horse producers in Europe. Moreover, Heartbreaker jumps successfully at Grand Prix level with Peter Geerink. In 1999 they were 4th in the Grand Prix of Aachen and they won the "Championat" of Dortmund. In 1999 Heartbreaker leads the Belgium Showjumping Index with 184,4 points. Orlando's dam is by Darco, a big money earner with his rider Ludo Phillipaerts. They won the World Cup Qualifiers of London and Hertogenbosch and they finished 6th at the World Equestrian Games of Stockholm. In show-jumping, Darco is represented by his offspring Jolly Boy, King Darco, Nistria etc. Orlando's granddam sire Gibramino is a full brother of the highly respected French breeding stallion Quastor and the international jumper Silvana B. In the fourth generation we find the essential thoroughbred influence through Alcanar xx.

\ Orlando's dam Nefista van de Ruiterboshoeve was a breeding mare but also participated successfully at the Belgian Cycle for 5 and 6 year olds and won several regional classes. Orlando's full brother Versace was approved as a sire in 2001. Orlando presented himself superbly in 2001. He won the “style” competition in Aachen twice with a score of 8,9 and 9,3! Also he had all clear rounds in the Classic Cycle for 5 year olds in Belgium. In Lanaken he won the semi final at the World Breeding Championships for Young Horses. He closed his 2001 season successfully by winning the 1.20 m. class for approved stallions in Mechelen. Various offspring of Orlando achieved high rankings at foal championships. One of his offspring was sold to Germany at the Flanders Foal Auction for a record price. The loose jumping competition in Nieuwvliet was won by a yearling from Orlando.

Dam: WINDSORIO: BWP - bay- BORN: 1999

As a foal, Windsorio was awarded "First Premium" status by the Belgian Warmblood Association. During the summer of 2004 she was again awarded very high marks during her mare inspection and is fully approved as a BWP NAD main studbook mare.  Now 7 years old, she is an impressive as ever, standing 17 hands and always turning heads. What you can't see in a photo is a disposition as dainty as her name, and a great mind!  Petunia is quiet and gentle to handle.  She is vice-free, healthy, completely sound, cross-ties, clips, trailers easily, and can be taken anywhere safely. She has an excellent work ethic.  At only 5 years old, Petunia was a reliable mount for the Master of  Foxhounds of the Annapolis Valley Hunt, she was extremely sensible, was willing to work away from the field without hesitation, cross any obstacle and as always, was an absolute dream to ride. Petunia is a lovely powerful mover with her own e-z going rhythm. She is light in the hand, balanced and will do automatic changes. She jumps comfortably in good form with plenty of scope, yet will not throw a riders position.  We proudly attribute many of her good qualities and achievements to carefully selected bloodlines, the "rolling green natural" environment in which all our horses are raised and diversity of quality training that she has received.  Over the past few years, Petunia has gained valuable show ring mileage on the Florida circuit in Wellington, at HITS Catskills, New York, and here in Nova Scotia. Petunia was recently purchased for use in the equitation ring. We look forward to following a remarkable career!
