The Metro Animal Emergency Clinic was established to provide rapid access emergency care by a dedicated staff for your pet during the hours your local veterinarian is closed. The clinic is a joint venture of more than 25 surrounding animal hospitals and the Atlantic Veterinary College. It has been modeled after emergency clinics in other centers, and is the first of its kind in Atlantic Canada.
The Metro Animal Emergency Clinic features:
An In-House Diagnostic Laboratory
Radiology Department
Surgery
Intensive Care Unit
Isolation Unit
After The Emergency Once your pet's condition has been stabilized either he will return home with you and you will be asked to visit your local veterinarian for follow-up care, or if needed, your pet will be held in the clinic until morning and then transferred to your local veterinarian for further treatment. In either case, your pet's usual doctor will be notified of your pets condition with all pertinent data in advance of your pet's arrival at his clinic, or your follow-up visit.
Financial Policy The Emergency Clinic accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard, and InterAct. Payment must be made at the time of service. Credit cannot be offered.
