Iceburg is registered by the BWP. He is out of our BWP main studbook mare, Emme. He is her second foal by Escudo I.  Iceburg's full sister, Eden, is having great success in hunter arenas in the southern US. As a foal, Iceburg received a very high score (78) on the BWP North American tour. The jury from Belgium suggested Iceburg not be gelded, as he had all the makings for a quality stallion. They were right. This summer, 2011, Iceburg is to be evaluated by the BWP for main studbook approval. Iceburg currently stands 16.1h and should finish at 16.2-3h. He is well muscled and a very nice type with  correct  conformation, outstanding movement, a lovely temperament (quiet & gentle), and of course a pedigree second to none. He has been free jumped and has shown excellent form over fences.  Iceberg's breeding career began last spring as a 2-year old. We are excited about his first crop of foals this year. Thus far, they have consistently had many of the qualities we love about "Ice" with his lovely conformation and outstanding temperament.  We also believe Iceburg to be homozygous bay with the ability to throw black. Three of his foals born this year have been black and the rest are bay. Iceburg has started training; he has been quiet, easy to ride, and is expected to make his show ring debut in 2011.

A few 2011 Foals by Iceburg

Escudo I was the 1994 Champion of the Stallion Performance Test with excellent scores in all categories. He won the jumping and became Hanoverian Showjumping Champion as a 5 year old in 1996, as well as German National Reserve Jumper Champion.  He is the son of the legendary 1995 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year, Espri. Espri has produced many grand prix showjumpers including World Cup winner, E.T. and St. Pr. St. Athene. Many Escudo I mares have become Premium Mares and have scored exceptionally well in thier Mare Inspections and on Mare Performance Tests, giving Escudo I  outstanding breeding value's for all categories including type, frame, conformation and jumping.
