Wendy - Reception A graduate of NSAC, Wendy moved to Hants County from Halifax in 2004 and brought along 3 1/2 years of experience with her from working at a previous clinic. Wendy's passion for her community and reputation for getting things done has earned her the role as our Client Care and Community Relations Coordinator. She lives in Windsor with her husband Rob, her 2 beautiful boys and their rescue cat Morgan and rescue dog Sydney.
Mandy - Reception When Mandy came to Avon Animal Hospital in 2003 as a co-op student, her passion for animals quickly earned her a full time position with reception. Mandy’s lifelong dream to work with peoples’ pets is evident with every client she greets at our doors. Mandy's infinite compassion for animals has been especially helpful with the many rescue animal rescue organizations we work with. Mandy lives in the Falmouth area with her family including two rescue cats.
Sarah - Equine Assistant/Reception Sarah grew up in Shelbourne with a love of animals, especially horses and joined the Avon Team in 2004 as our Equine Assistant. Sarah lives in Wolfville on a horse farm with her husband Shawn and their son Hayden. Some of Sarah’s many tasks at Avon Animal Hospital include booking equine appointments as well as assisting the Equine Veterinarians with calls, procedures and surgeries. Sarah enjoys travelling to many different farms and meeting the horses and witnessing the bond the horse and owner share.
Shantel - Reception As one of our newest staff members, Shantel's years of administrative and client service experience were quickly put to use. Along with several 'behind the scenes' administrative responsibilities, Shantel has earned the role of "Technical Advisor". Shantel lives in the Windsor area with her husband, daughter and rescue critters, a lovable dog named Poppy and kitties, Bindi and Tutter.
