Dr. Chris White
A Maine native, Dr. Chris White grew up barrel racing his Quarter Horses around New England. At 18, Chris moved to the Great White North to attend the University of Prince Edward Island, where he received both his Bachelors of Science and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. While attending the Atlantic Veterinary College, he discovered his love of lameness, geriatric care, and (most surprisingly) eye problems.
After graduation, Dr. White completed a yearlong internship at the Equine Clinic at OakenCroft, servicing Upstate New York and Western Massachusetts. While he enjoyed the performance medicine he practiced outside Saratoga, he loved his weekly visits to boarding barns where he developed a relationship with both the horses and clients. Soon after, he moved back to Maine to join TNT Equine, heading up the sports medicine service, as well as providing wellness to the horses of Maine and New Hampshire.
Dr. White is thrilled to join Avon Animal Hospital. Chris is moving to Nova Scotia with his two horses Copper and Joe, as well as his overweight, hyperthyroid, geriatric cat Jessie Spano. In his free time, Chris enjoys visiting the many wineries of the Valley, reluctantly going to the gym, and belting the hits of the 70s at the local karaoke bar.
