Dr. Danielle Doubleday

Associate Veterinarian
I was born in Edmonton, Alberta and moved to Fredericton, New Brunswick at the age of 9. I have always had a love of animals, and at an early age, I decided that I wanted to be a veterinarian. Also, thanks to my mother who had horses in her youth, I inherited the “horse bug” and spent a great deal of my years growing up working around these amazing animals. As I grew older, I continued to have a desire to be able to help animals and their owners and also wanted to work in a medical field solidifying my resolve to become a veterinarian. I graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science, and then in 2006, I graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating from AVC, I spent over 2 years working at an equine private practice near Buffalo, New York, and then in 2008, I moved to Nova Scotia and started working at Avon Animal Hospital. My main area of interest in veterinary medicine is equine ambulatory practice, which is why I am so fortunate to be at Avon Animal Hospital as this makes up the majority of my work. It is the long-lasting relationships built with clients, their animals, and the wonderful team of people I work with at Avon that I cherish the most. When I am not working, my time is spent with my husband Carlos, my son Aydrian, my daughter Alayna, and all of our critters at home (2 dogs, 2 bunnies, and 1 cat).

A Lifetime of Care

As we started a new year I, like many others, took a little time to look back at the years past. Not just 2017, but further back.
